HAZWOPER 40 hour training. You will benefit a lot from this program. You will recognize the various training regulations that relate to hazardous materials handling and response.
Course Description:
The
40 hour HAZWOPER training course covers topics within the OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.120. These topics include safety of employees, eradication of chemicals deemed hazardous, environmental impact and hazardous chemical protection. Our
40 hour HAZWOPER training course targets workers participating in emergency response operations, disposal, treatment, storage and clean-up operations in uncontrolled hazardous waste sites or of hazardous substances.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand OSHA and its role in regulating occupational safety
- Site Characterization to eliminate work hazards
- Familiarize with materials, compounds and mixtures that may contain explosive, flammable, chemical or radiological hazards
- Identify existence of hazardous materials in the workplace
- Accentuate the importance of personal protective equipment to limit hazardous exposure
- Establish Site Control Program that limits the risk of exposure for workers working in the hazardous work zone
- Encourage the use of Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS)
- Implement procedures to treat workers in the event of hazardous exposure

QUIZZES and TESTING:
At the end of each module, there is a quiz in which the trainee must acquire at least 70% of minimum score to progress to the next module.
There is also a final quiz at the end of the course which the trainees must take and with the same 70% minimum score to clear the exam. If the student is not able to clear the final exam on the first try then there are two additional attempts to clear the exam at no additional charge.
